How hunting works. Drive to a hunting ground (green rings on the map), stop, and get out. Stalk in slowly: crouching, standing still and camo all make you harder to notice. Every animal scores points; a headshot doubles them, a clean kill (one shot to the head or heart and lungs) adds half again, the right ammo for the animal adds a quarter, and long shots add more. Light ammo on big game only wounds, and a wounded animal runs. Points also pay coins and XP.
Coins are scattered along the roads and tracks, and every coin adds a little XP. Camp lanterns and boxes of cartridges are worth more: look for them at the campsites (red tents on the map) and along the roads. Drifting, big air and clean laps add more. Level up to open the next car in the garage. Obstacles cost you speed, not your coins, so a barrel or a bale is a reason to steer, not to stop.
A long, unhurried drive through one mountain valley. Pick the season and the weather, collect coins and camping gear, dodge obstacles and level up to unlock off-road vehicles in the garage. Stop at a hunting ground, get out, and stalk deer, elk, moose, bear, boar, coyote, fox, turkey and rabbit for points. Keyboard, touch, or an Xbox or PlayStation controller.
